Missions Trips

2021 Opportunities

2021: This year will continue to be unprecedented as we attempt to maneuver with COVID; however, we do plan to have a mission trip this year. It will most likely be in the fall as opposed to the summer. Here are the project goals we have for this year:

*Medical clinic in Pino Gordo and Retalhuleu

*Community garden work in Pino Gordo and La Tejera

*Raise funds to cover fall tuition and school supplies for 11 kids

2020: For obvious reasons, we did not have a missions trip in 2020. However, this did not stop us from providing support. Here are some projects we completed in 2020:

    *  Cleft-palette surgery for a baby from Pino Gordo

    *  Hip-dysplasia surgery for a young boy from another village

    *  Covered medical expenses for family member of staff at Hope for Home orphanages who broke his back

    *  New uniforms and school supplies for every child at God Bless the Children

    *  Built a library in Retaluhuleu and installed WiFi to enhance
    education

    *  Garden in Pino Gordo for nutritious meals

    *  Bought and installed water pipes in another village, La Tejera thanks to a partnership with Masco corporation

    *  About 4,000 food bags were donated to our various supported ministries thanks to a partnership with Masco

2019: We had a wonderful team join us for our 2019 mission trip! We also parted with Escuela Finca Buena Vista- giving us an exciting opportunity to partner with a new ministry. Here are some projects we completed:

    *  Re-painted and added a bathroom and cafeteria to the existing school house, and purchased school supplies for every child for the upcoming school year. We also bought teaching materials for the staff, and provided funding for daily free lunches for the students.

    *  Medical clinic in Retalhuleu where we saw an average of 100 patients each day (including prostate exams, pregnancy checks, and much more)

    *  Spent a day at each of our three adopted orphanages and provided relief to the staff and new toys for the kids

    *  Installed a water system in Pino Gordo providing clean drinking water to 300+ families (a project that took 7 years to complete)

    *  Food bags and toys to the families in Pino Gordo and Retalhuleu

    *  $700 worth of groceries, toys, and household supplies for each orphanage we support
