… What is the Mission of Joshua Student Ministries (JSM)? …
Our mission is simple. it consists of everything that our base ministry is built on and we want to accomplish three things:
- We feel led to first and foremost present the gospel of Jesus Christ to every student on every campus that we touch. This is our ultimate goal and desire as we know this is Christ’s Great Commission. As a church, we will go, make disciples and baptize in the trinitarian name (Matt. 28:19-20).
- Another goal is to develop leaders within the Body of Christ. Leaders who are active members of their church bodies and living their lives to actively promote Jesus Christ EVERYWHERE they are (church, home, work, and the world).
- Another branch of the larger ministry is to afflict Godly family values on all those we minister to. This closely follows in this ministry. We want to show college students the love of a family away from home, what it means to be a family, and how to be the future husband/wife and father/mother that God has called them to be.
We believe God has truly empowered us in these areas.
… What is the Vision of JSM? …
While in seminary in Dallas, Texas God gave us a vision of a ministry to college students and others on college campuses. We are striving to move forward with the vision and plant cell groups on local college campuses in Northwest Ohio. But as we continue to seek God’s direction we have been able to develop relationships with local churches, youth groups and college age ministries. We long to impact students and encourage leaders of students of all ages! This website will be a resource for students and leaders alike, as well as containing information about Joshua Ministries and opportunities to get involved in reaching students, professors and teachers for Jesus Christ! Our goal is to make an impact one person at a time and to a equip a generation of leaders for Jesus Christ!
… Ministry Opportunities …
We are now on campus! Praise the Lord as he has opened doors for us to be a part of a Bible study on the campus of the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, OH. We are continuing to look for more areas to minister throughout the area and will keep you posted on dates and times of Bible studies and prayer groups. As well as other activities of Joshua Student Ministries!
